The Girl Who Overcame Time and the Boy Who Was Just Overcome
The first episode opens showing the fateful battle between Kikyo and Inu-Yasha over the Shikon Jewel. As a result of their battle, Kikyo lay dying and Inu-Yasha was stuck to a tree by one of her arrows, where he remained for 50 years. Cut to present day where we meet Kagome Higurashi, a modern 15 year old Tokyoite who lives with her family at a shrine. The shrine is built near an old well, called The Bone-Eater's Well. While looking for her younger brother, Sota, Kagome is attacked by a Centipede demon searching for the Shikon Jewel. Kagome tumbles down the well and before long realizes she is now in feudal Japan. There she meets Kaeda, Kikyo's little sister who is now an old woman (50 years have passed since the opening scene). Soon, Mistress Centipede is back looking for the Shikon Jewel that is inside of Kagome's body. She rips it from her side, but not before a very angry Inu-Yasha awakens from his 50 year slumber.

Episode 2 10/23/01
Shikon no Tama o Nerau Monotachi
Seekers of the Sacred Jewel
Inu-Yasha confuses Kagome for Kikyo, who he still harbors an extreme hatred for. He tries to take the Shikon Jewel from her, but not before Kaede steps in and places a magical rosary around his neck, causing him to crash to the ground whenever Kagome yells "sit!". With Inu-Yasha subdued Kagome makes her way back to the Bone-Eater's Well, but not before getting side-tracked by a possessed bandit who manages to take the Shikon Jewel from her. Inu-Yasha arrives just in the nick of time and pursues the crow demon who stole it, when the demon escapes. He takes Kagome on his back and gives her a bow and arrow and tells her chases the demon. Kagome was unaware of why he gave her the bow and arrow until Inuyasha got annoyed and wandered why she wasn't shooting because she's the reincarnation of Kikyo who was a great archer, so she must be too. Kagome tries a first few times but to no avail. She then noticed that the body parts of the bird who stole and swallowed the shikon no tama were flying to it in mid air. So she took up one of it's legs attached in to her arrow, aimed as best as she could then released her arrow. The arrow went straight for its target but when it hit the bird which died, it shattered the shikon no tama in thousands, maybe millions or even billions of tiny shards.

Honekui no Ido kara Tadaima
Down the Rabbit Hole and Back Again
After an arguement between Inu-Yasha and Kagome over his peeping at her while she was bathing, the pair decide to call it quits. Inu-Yasha wants to search for the Shikon Jewel alone and Kagome wants nothing more than to return home.  She takes the one shikon shard she got with her and left. On her way back to the well she is attacked by Yura of the Hair, a demon who is using her hair to control the villagers and make them attack Inu-Yasha and Kaede. Luckily for them, Kagome is able to see the strands of hair that are invisible to everyone else. Thus, Inu-Yasha must make amends and try to find Kagome and get her to help.

Sakasagami no Youma, Yura
Yura of the Demon Hair
Out of nowhere Inu-Yasha arrives in present day Tokyo to get Kagome to return to the past with him. Immediately, Kagome notices one of Yura's hairs on Inu-Yasha and quickly realizes that her family could be in jeopardy if she doesn't help out. Returning to the past Inu-Yasha and Kagome confront Yura, and while she and Inu-Yasha fight, Kagome manages to locate the source of her power, a comb, and destroy it.

Senritsu no Kikoushi Sesshoumaru
Aristocratic Assassin, Sesshoumaru
Sessho-maru, Inu-Yasha's half brother and his servant Jaken are introduced as they search for a sword, Tetsuaiga (Tetsusaiga in the manga), that was left to Inu-Yasha by his late father. Myoga, an old flea demon watches as they search, and quickly relays the news to Inu-Yasha. After awhile, a carriage containing Inu-Yasha's mother is spotted and a demon carrying Jaken soon attacks it. After saving his mother, Inu-Yasha and Kagome are transported to a serene location, where Kagome quickly realizes Inu-Yasha's mother isn't who she appears to be.

Episode 6 11/20/00
Bukimina Buddou, Tetsuaiga
Tetsuaiga, The Phantom Sword
Kagome brings Inu-Yasha to his senses and they both quickly realize that his mother is actually a Nothing Woman, a collection of the spirits of mother's who have lost their children. The Nothing Woman uses her powers to find out where the entrance to Inu-Yasha's father's grave is, reveals it is in the Black Pearl hidden behind Inu-Yasha's eye. Sesshomaru quickly pulls the pearl out and steps into their father's graveyard, but soon realizes he is unable to pull the Tessaiga out, Inuyasha tries, but also fails. Soon there after, Kagome does it with ease.

Episode 7 11/27/00
Geki Taiketsu! Sesshoumaru vs Tetsuaiga
Showdown! Inuyasha vs. Sesshomaru
Sesshomaru is amazed that Kagome was able to remove the sword, so he talks to her for a few moments before attacking and seemingly killing her. Inu-Yasha begins fighting against his brother, but is shocked when he sees Kagome rising up from the bones that everyone thought was hers. She hands the sword to Inu-Yasha and Sesshomaru reverts to his true form to finish the battle. In the midst of battle, Inu-Yasha promises to protect Kagome, and the Tetsuaiga reacts by growing into a huge fang, which lops off Sesshomaru's left arm. Sesshomaru is left with no choice but to retreat, and Inu-Yasha, Kagome, and Myoga return to the village to tell Kaede about the sword. It is revealed that the Tessaiga's hidden powers will reveal themselves when it is used to protect humans.

Donosama Youkai, Tsukumo no Gama
The Toad Who Would Be Prince
Nobunaga is introduced in this episode. While swimming a monkey steals Kagome's clothes. Once she gets her clothes back, she meets the owner of the monkey, Nobunaga. Kagome and Inu-Yasha learn that he is on his way to meet a princess. They travel together and learn of a local lord that has been possessed. When they arrive at his castle, everyone is asleep, and Nobunaga finds his princess. The evil lord appears, and Myoga points out that it is a Tsugumo no Gama. Inu-Yasha rushes in to kill him, but Nobunaga stops him, because the innocent lord's mind is still intact inside the demon. Tsugumo no Gama attacks Nobunaga, and Inu-Yasha refuses to help. Kagome uses her hairspray and some fire to drive the demon from the lord's body. After that Inu-Yasha quickly dispatches it.

Shippou Toujou! Raijuu Kyodai Hiten, Manten
Enter Shippo, Plus the Amazing Thunder Brothers!
While wandering through a battlefield, a bit of foxfire appears and transforms into a large balloon shape, in an attempt to frighten Kagome and Inu-Yasha into giving him their Shikon shards, the demon reveals himself as Shippo, a fox demon. Shippo tells them that he needs the shards in order to become more powerful so that he can avenge his father's death at the hands of Hiten and Manten, the Thunder Brothers. Shippo travels with Kagome and Inu-Yasha a short distance before stealing the Shikon shards and running into the forest. There he meets Hiten and Manten, who demand that he give up the shards to them. Kagome tries to save Shippo but gets knocked out. Manten finds her very attractive and decides to take her. Shippo runs to get Inu-Yasha and beg for his help. When Inu-Yasha arrives the brothers are ready for a fight with Hiten starting off the battle with his Raigekijin.

Episode 10 12/18/00
Geki Taiketsu! Raigekijin vs Tessaiga!!
Phantom Showdown: The Thunder Brothers vs. Tetsusaiga
The battle between Inu-Yasha and Hiten rages on, and Kagome tries to take out Manten, but to no avail. Shippo comes to her rescue and sends Manten into a rage as the last hair falls from his head. He begins punching Shippo and choking Kagome to death while Inu-Yasha watches. Inu-Yasha decides to take out Manten first and throws his Tessaiga through him, killing him. Hiten goes crazy and blasts Kagome and the Tessaiga away from Inu-Yasha. As his brother dies in his arms, Hiten consumes all five of the collected Shikon shards and launches another attack against Inu-Yasha. Hiten blasts Kagome and Shippo again, and it appears he has killed them. Inu-Yasha only has the Tessaiga's scabbard to protect himself, but soon the scabbard summons the sword, which Inu-Yasha quickly uses to finish Hiten. Inu-Yasha learns that Shippo's father's pelt protected Kagome and Shippo from Hiten's blast.

Episode 11 1/15/01
Gendai ni Yomigaeru, Noroi no Noumen
Terror of the Ancient Noh Mask
Kagome tells Inu-Yasha that due to upcoming tests, she has to go back to her own time for awhile. Taking the Shikon shards with her, she hops through the Bone Eater's Well and arrives back in her own time. Kagome's grandfather notices that the Mask of Flesh has escaped from the seals he used to keep it at bay. The mask darts around the room trying to find a body for itself and starts a fire, trapping Grandfather. The Mask is able to capture the body of a fireman and leaves in search of more bodies. Later in the night, it is drawn back to the Higurashi house and Kagome's room in particular because of the Shikon shards in her room. The Mask attacks and Kagome manages to save both the shards and Sota. As they get outside and the Mask continues to attack, Kagome tells Sota to go to the well and bring Inu-Yasha back. Sota does as he's asked but is unable to travel through the well. He's shocked when Inu-Yasha appears in front of him. Sota quickly tells Inu-Yasha whats going on and he's off to save Kagome, brining Sota along with him. Inu-Yasha arrives in time to rescue Kagome, but once the battle is over she realizes that she has her tests in a few hours and heads home to do some last minute cramming, leaving Inu-Yasha more than a little angry.

Episode 12 1/22/01
Tatari Mokke to Chiisaina Akuryou
Soul Piper and the Mischievous Little Soul
While Kagome is walking home from school she sees a little girl playing a mean prank on some other children. After telling her to stop and chasing her off, the little girl is shocked that Kagome can even see her, but quickly dissapears. Inu-Yasha meanwhile is repairing the damage done to his scabbard by the Thunder Brothers. As he, Myoga, and Shippo wait for the repairs to finish they notice a Tatari Mokke. Myoga explains that this demon plays a flute to help recently deceased children's spirits find their way into the afterlife. As long as the Tatari Mokke's eyes are closed it is completely harmless and actually quite helpful. In the present, Kagome takes Sota to visit a friend of his in the hospital. His friend, Satoru has been in a coma ever since his apartment caught on fire. His sister Mayu died tragically in the fire because the children's mother didn't know she was in the apartment. Mayu died thinking her mother abandoned her to die alone and has been haunting her family ever since. In a fit of anger Mayu knocks her mother out and tries to kill Satoru when the Tatarimokke appears behind her with its eyes almost fully open. When its eyes do open, the demon takes children's spirits to hell. Kagome follows Mayu and recreates the moment of her death, only this time Kagome rescues her from the closet. Mayu's ghost asks her mother for forgiveness and goes on to heaven, allowing Satoru to come out of his coma.

Shingetsu no Nazo: Kurokami no Inuyasha
Mystery of the New Moon and the Black Haired Inuyasha
Hojo, Kagome's friend from school decides to ask her out and Kagome accepts. Afterwards, Kagome meets up with Inu-Yasha, Myoga and Shippo to find the next Shikon shard. As they are sailing along a river, they see a girl falling from a cliff. Inu-Yasha manages to catch her, and she tells them her story. Her name is Nazuna and her village has been attacked by spider demons. The group offers to help, but Nazuna flatly refuses them. They take her home and meet the old monk who has become her surrogate father. The monk asks them to spend the night and they accept, much to Inu-Yasha's dissapointment. As night falls Inu-Yasha begins to get fidgety and goes off by himself. Just then he notices that the Spider demon's have them completely surrounded and has the monk captured. Shippo, Myoga, Kagome, Inu-Yasha and Nazuna manage to escape when Kagome notices that Inu-Yasha's hair is black and his ears are gone. Myoga tells her Inu-Yasha's secret. When the new moon comes every month, Inu-Yasha loses all his demonic powers and reverts completely to a normal human being. Kagome realizes she's left the Shikon shards back in the temple so Shippo and Inu-Yasha return to get the shards and try to save the monk. Once they arrive, they see that the monk is actually the spider demon. Kagome and Nazuna arrive and get the injured Inu-Yasha into a safe room to spend the night. Kagome and Inu-Yasha share a few romantic moments before the demon attacks and devours the Shikon shards. Inu-Yasha is about to be finished off as the sun rises and he reverts back to his true self. He quickly kills the spider and everyone is surprised to see that the Shikon shards fused together inside the demon to create a large half-completed jewel.

Nuzumareta Kikyou no Reikotsu
Kikyo's Stolen Ashes
An old woman named Urasue attacks Kaede's village and steals Kikyo's bones. Inu-Yasha is dreaming about Kikyo and notices the old woman escape. Kaede tells him what happened, but he is reluctant to do anything about it because of his hatred for Kikyo. They finally decide to get Kikyo's bones back, and Kagome begins to wonder about Inu-Yasha's relationship toward Kikyo. She soon learns that he was in fact in love with her, but that they couldn't be together because of her role as a priestess and the fact that he's a demon. They enter Urasue's cave and learn that she has created a new body for Kikyo, and is planning on using her to gather Shikon shards. As they are attacked by her guards, Urasue learns that Kikyo no longer has a soul that can be brought back from the afterlife and is very upset by this. She soon notices the resemblance between Kikyo and Kagome and manages to abduct Kagome for use in her plot to ressurrect Kikyo.

Episode 15 2/12/01
Hiun no Miko, Kikyou Fukkatsu
Return of the Tragic Priestess, Kikyo
After defeating the clay warriors that Urasue pitted against them, Kaede realizes what her plot is and why she's taken Kikyo's bones along with Kagome. Meanwhile, Urasue has placed Kagome in a cauldron of herbs that will pull her soul out and allow the new body of Kikyo to absorb it and be ressurected. Inu-Yasha and Shippo arrive in time to see Kagome's soul leave her body. They hear Kikyo tell them not to speak her name, but Inu-Yasha is so shocked, that he inadvertently does. This causes Kikyo to awaken. Urasue tells her to kill everyone, but Kikyo quickly decides to kill Urasue and demands to know why Inu-Yasha killed her. He has no idea what she's talking about, as it was Naraku disguised as Inu-Yasha that fatally wounder Kikyo. Kikyo begins attacking Inu-Yasha while Shippo pulls Kagome out of the cauldron. Kaede tells Shippo that Kagome will never reawaken until Kikyo has had her vengeance against Inu-Yasha. Just then, Kikyo wounds Inu-Yasha and Kagome begins to reawaken, parts of of sould leave Kikyo, but strangely as she fully recovers Kikyo is still alive. The barely living Urasue explains that Kikyo is only alive because her hate for Inu-Yasha is so great. Kikyo leaves and Inu-Yasha follows her. He saves her from jumping off a cliff and tries to get her to give the last of Kagome's soul back. Kikyo instead loosens herself from his grasp and falls, dissapearing into the fog below.

Episode 16 2/19/01
Migi Te ni Kazaana Furyou Houshi Miroku
Mystical Hand of the Amorous Monk, Miroku
The episode opens with the group remembering the events of the previous episode. Then we see a monk trying to decide which path to follow. Upon hearing that some women are down one path, the monk Miroku decides to investigate. Unfortunately for him, they wind up being rather large, but he then heads off to exorcise a demon from a Buddha statue and rob the family blind in the process. Later, Miroku spies on Kagome as she bathes and realizes that the group has some of the Shikon shards. The next morning Miroku along with his Tanuki partner confront the group and he and Inu-Yasha square off. Kagome saves Inu-Yasha from the void in Miroku's hand. After some flirting on Miroku's part it is revealed that Naraku is the one responsible for the void in Miroku's hand and he decides to join up with our party and fight Naraku together.

Jigoku Eshi no Kegareta Sumi
The Cursed Ink of the Hell Painter
Inu-Yasha and the others come across a battlefield, but he doesn't smell any blood, only ink. Upon further investigation they discover an artist who is able to make his drawings of demons come to life and attack people. The artist manages to escape, but soon a local lord becomes involved as he seeks the power of the artist's Shikon shard. While trying to save the lord Inu-Yasha manages to cut the inkwell of the artist in half destroying the monsters. The artist is killed by his own creations as well and another shard is gained.

Te o Kunda Naraku to Sesshomaru
Naraku and Sesshomaru Join Forces
Sessho-maru returns with an oni's arm replacing the one he lost in his first battle with Inu-Yasha. Naraku arrives and offers Sessho-maru a new arm- a human arm that will allow him to hold the Tessiaga and a Shikon shard to increase his power. Sessho-maru manages to get the Tessiaga from Inu-Yasha after tracking the group down and shows his expertise by slaying hundreds of mountain demons in one blow. He uses the Saimyosho bees that Naraku gave him to keep Miroku from using his void and then he and Inu-Yasha begin to square off. Luckily Kagome steps in with an impressive save and takes aim for Sessho-maru's head.

Episode 19 3/12/01
Kaere, Kagome! Omae no Jidai ni
Go Back, Kagome, To Your True Time
Kagome fires the arrow, but misses Sessho-maru. Inu-Yasha steps in to protect her while she tries to treat Miroku who was poisoned by the bees. Miroku learns from Jaken that it was Naraku who gave Sessho-maru these new tricks. Inu-Yasha manages to get the sword (and Sessho-maru's human hand) back but is severely wounded in the process. Without a human hand or the sword, Sessho-maru decides to retreat. The Saimyosho follow Sesshomaru trying to get the Shikon shard back for their master, and as the remnants of the arm begin to act up, Sessho-maru quickly discards it. A gravely wounded Inu-Yasha escorts Kagome back to the well to send her home, hugs her, takes her Shikon shards and then tosses her down the well. With the well blocked on Inu-Yasha's end Kagome is stuck in the present.

Episode 20 3/19/01
Asamashiki Yatou, Onigumo no Nazo
The Wretched Thief: Onigumo's Secret
Kagome returns to her normal routine of going to school and being a typical 21st century teenager while in the past Inu-Yasha is learning the origin of the evil Naraku. Kaede tells the group of a theif who was severely burned all over his body and was unable to walk. Kikyo cared for him in a small cave where he lived. Onigumo lusted for Kikyo. Kaede takes Miroku and Inu-Yasha to visit the cave where Onigumo once lived and explains how he allowed powerful demons to eat him which combined their power with his and created Naraku. Soon Miroku and Inu-Yasha hear Shippo calling from near the well. He is being attacked by Royakan, a wolf demon. During the fight, Inu-Yasha reopens his wounds from his battle with Sessho-maru. In the present three days have passed and Kagome is still trying unsuccessfully to get back through the well. Royakan attacks again with even more power thanks to a second Shikon shard Naraku has placed on his head. Naraku releases the Saimyosho to prevent Miroku from opening his void and Inu-Yasha is too weak to fight back.

Episode 21 4/9/01
Naraku no Shinjitsu ni Semaru
The Truth about Naraku's Origin
In the present Kagome decides to go on a date with Hojo, her classmate. She stops by the well one last time before leaving. In the past things are getting rough as Shippo runs away from Royakan's wolves and manages to squeeze past the tree and down to the bottom of the well. Kagome senses the shard on the other side, but sees nothing so she decides to leave for her date. Hojo thinks she's sick so she ends the date early and heads back to the well. After some digging she manages to make it through. While this is happening Naraku reveals that he is the one behind the fight that caused Inu-Yasha and Kikyo to hate each other 50 years ago. Inu-Yasha manages enough strength to drive Naraku away and Kagome helps remove the Shikon shards from Royakan's head.

Episode 22 4/9/01
Kikyo no Tamashii
The Soul of Kikyo
The gang are spending the night in a small village guarding a diseased girl's soul from soul stealing demons that have been seen in the area. In another small town it appears that Kikyo has survived her fall and is trying to start a new life. One of the local priests, Seikai, senses something is different about her and attempts to use a ward on her. Nothing happens to Kikyo but she gives the preist a jolt for his trouble. Kikyo has developed a friendship with a young girl in the town by the name of Sayo. Sayo has noticed that Kikyo seems troubled by something, and that night follows her down to the river. She watches as Seikai and his assistant attempt to exorcise Kikyo who proves too powerful for the priests. After seeing this Sayo runs away and Kikyo realizes that she will be unable to return to the village. The next morning Inu-Yasha and the others see Seikai's assistant floating unconscious in the river. After saving him he tells them about a a preistess that resembles Kagome and they learn that Kikyo is the one responsible for the soul stealing demons that they had come across. Inu-Yasha is very upset about the news and goes off on his own, and soon Kagome finds herself seperated from Miroku and Shippo and face to face with Kikyo.

Episode 23 4/16/01
Kagome no Koe to Kikyo no Kuchizuke
Kagome's Voice & Kikyo's Kiss
Inu-Yasha searches the riverbank for any signs of Kikyo and finds her ribbon. Kagome is magically bound by Kikyo and tries her best to tell her how Naraku was the one that actually killed her and not Inu-Yasha. Kikyo no longer cares and just wishes to be reunited with Inu-Yasha in death rather than life. She says she can not overcome the deep hatred she has harbored for him. Soon Inu-Yasha arrives and confronts Kikyo. He tells her how much he still cares for her and how often the thinks of her, but Kikyo no longer cares. She explains that she needs the souls of the dead to stay "alive". Inu-Yasha is unable to see Kagome thanks to Kikyo's spell, and he speaks about his feelings from the heart. Kikyo takes him in her arms and Kagome watches as the begin to sink into hell. Kagome manages to free herself from Kikyo's spell and awakens Inu-Yasha who then escapes from Kikyo's grasp. Kagome then begins to pull the souls that Kikyo had taken back out of her which causes Kikyo to flee. Now out of danger, Kagome tells Inu-Yasha that she wants to be alone for awhile. Kikyo it seems has travelled back to see her sister Kaede and learn about Naraku. Kagome heads back home through the well and becomes furious when she overhears Inu-Yasha say he wishes he could have them both.

Episode 24 4/23/01
Yokai Taijiya: Sango Toujou!
Enter Sango the Demon Exterminator
Inu-Yasha, Miroku and Shippo are sitting around a fire discussing the Shikon Jewel. Miroku explains that no good has ever come of it, and that if Inu-Yasha uses the jewel to become a full-blooded demon, he will probably slay his companions. Inu-Yasha seems a bit concerned about this. In the Exterminator Village a young girl named Sango prepares her brother Kohaku for his first demon extermination that night. The two siblings and their father travel to the castle where they will be working. Upon arriving the lord expresses his doubts about the abilities of Sango and Kohaku, but their father reassures the lord they are the best in the business. After fighting a large spider demon, Kohaku seems to lose control and begins killing his fellow exterminators, his father, and then stabbing his sister in the back. Sango realizes that the lord of the manor is in fact the demon controlling her little brother, and tries to kill him, but the manor guards kill Kohaku with a volley of arrows and then shoot Sango as well. Out of nowhere the young master of the manor emerges and kills the demon posing as the lord of the manor. He orders that the exterminators be buried in the garden. Inu-Yasha and the others notice a large swarm of demons flying through the air and decide they should follow them to see what is going on. When they finally catch up to them, they see that the Exterminator Village has been completely destroyed and that everyone there has been killed. Back at the young lord's manor he is shocked to see that Sango is still barely alive and has treated her wounds as best he could. As she recovers she overhears the young master being told of the village's destruction by Naraku. Sango is obviously upset and Naraku tells her that Inu-Yasha is the one that destroyed her home. Meanwhile at the Exterminator Village the group help to bury the dead, and Kirara, a giant cat creature arrives with Myoga who informs them of what took place.

Episode 25 5/7/01
Naraku no Bouryaku o Uchi Yabure
Naraku's Insideous Plot
Inu-Yasha and the others investigate the Shikon Cave near the Exterminator's Village. Myoga tells them this is where the exterminators used to dump the corpses of the demons they slayed, and that the Shikon Jewel was created in this cave. Sango is traveling back to her village with Naraku, but she is still too severely injured to make the trip. Naraku puts a Shikon shard in her back to give her more strength and help he make the trek. Upon arrive she immediately attacks Inu-Yasha, and when Miroku steps in to help, the Saimyosho enter to ensure he can not help by using his void. Where the Saimyosho are Naraku usually is, and Miroku manages to spot him and chop his hand off. This Naraku proves only to be a copy of the real thing, and the decapitated hand snatches Kagome's shards and vanishes in a puff of smoke. Seeing this, Sango becomes suspicious and sends Kirara to track the fleeing Naraku while she fights Inu-Yasha. Sango eventually passes out because of loosing too much blood from her previous injuries, and the group manage to catch back up to Miroku who had pursued the fake Naraku. Once Miroku is out of danger Sango learns what truly happened and the fake Naraku is killed and the Shikon shards he had stolen are retrieved. Back at the young lord's manor it is revealed that he is actually Naraku.

Tsui ni Akasareta Shikon no Himitsu
Secret of the Jewel of the Four Souls: Revealed
Sango pays her respect to her fallen exterminators and then escorts the others to the Shikon Cave to tell them the origins of the Shikon Jewel. She shows them the crystallized corpse of a priestess named Midoriko who, hundreds of years ago, was sent to purify the souls of the growing number of demons. The demons proved to be too strong, and Midoriko had to sacrafice herself to capture the demons souls. Her soul, along with those of the demons created the Shikon Jewel. Sango goes on to tell of how her fellow exterminators found the jewel inside a demon they slew and gave it to a priestess, Kikyo, to purify it. Later that night Myoga and Kirara return to the cave alone with the Shikon shards they have. Suddenly they are attacked by some of the undead spirits of the demons and Inu-Yasha and the others arrive just in time to help save them. They all return to the village, except for Kirara who stays and remembers serving Midoriko centuries ago.

Season 2

Everyone, since I haven't been able to watch  episode 38 of inuyasha i'm gonna just borrow the episode summary for episode 38 from my friend at Inuu_ch4n who i think is by far the nicest and best webmistress ever and writes the best summaries ever and put the summaries for the ones i did watch, oh yeah i did not bother to put the dates that they were aired anymore or the japanese name of the episode, it is too tiring to get that information. Epidode 38

Separated, the couples feelings come to pass

Kagome was back to her world and she was in a very bad mood because she argued with Inuyasha. She went to school and met her friends who told her that it happened something during she wasn't at school (because of her economy class syndrome ^^) : there was a girl who followed Hojou-kun everywhere since few days ! And so Kagome's friend asked her what she would do... but Kagome answered that it was not really her business and so her friends made the conclusion that Kagome has an another boyfriend besides Hojou-kun !!! and they wanted to know who he was !!! But Kagome answered that she didn't want to think about him ( so she betrayed herself ^^). Then the bell rang and saved Kagome from others questions. In Sengoku-jidai Shippo and sango were near the well and shippo explained to Sango that only Inuyasha and Kagome could travel trough that well
so Only Inuyasha could bring her back ! But, because of their argue, Shippo thought Inuyasha would not go bring Kagome back because he is to stubborn to apologize. In the town, a lot of young women was forming a long queue in front of Miroku who was doing the fortune teller, he foretold to a woman that she would have many children and by the way asked her if she wanted give him a child ^^ and then the woman beside her sayed to Miroku that he also asked to her ^^ Miroku answered that it was something he asked to all the beautiful ladies but wondered if he would be able to give a child to both of them and they laught together ^^ . Beside him Sango told to herself that Miroku was such a playboy and she seemed to not believe it.
Then Miroku Sango an Shippo were talking about Kagome's and Inuyasha's problem and miroku said that should not go near the well because Inuyasha was shy after all even if he didn't want to show it, so if he saw somebody near the well he would not go bring Kagome back. Then, near the well, Inuyasha looked carefully around in order to see if somewone was here and jumped into the well. In Kagome's world, Kagome and her friends were eating at "Wacdonald" ^^ and they were chatting about "Kagome's boyfriend" ( so they were chatting about Inuyasha and Kagome described him as an idiot, violent, selfish, always pissed of and extremely jealous !!! So her friends told her that if he is jealous everything was all right : it just meant that he liked her very much...But Kagome explained to them that he still liked his ex-girlfriend. Then she told them that he had already threatened one of her male friend to kill him ! but that was too much for Kagome's friends who told her to break up with him because he was a jealous selfish and violent guy !!! ^^ But Kagome told them that he had good sides too... and her friends asked her if she loved him... but Kagome didn't know.
Inuyasha, during that time, entered by the window in Kagome's room and Sota came a little bit later. He asked to Inuyasha what happened in the other world because Kagome were so mad when she get back ! At this time Kagome entered in her house and said "I'm home" and Sota wanted to tell her that Inuyasha was here but Inuyasha asked to Sota to not tell Kagome that he came !!! Later, Kagome wondered if it was her fault if Inuyasha and her argued... and at the same time Inuyasha (who was back to sengoku-Jidai was sitting next to the well and said to himself that he would never apologize ! But Sango and Shippo were hidden behind a tree for watching Inuyasha and they met Miroku ^^, so they asked him why he was there even though he told them to not go near the well ! But Miroku answered that these situations were so fun to watch, he couldn't impede hiself to come ^^ The tomorrow morning, at school, Kagome met Hojou-kun who asked her if she would go to cinema with her and her friends answered "yes" for her because they didn't want Kagome to go out with the "violent guy" anymore !
In the other world, Shippo after a little chat with Inuyasha, told him that if he wanted to know how to do to bring Kagome back, they had to ask to Kaede who has the most experience of life, and in order to protect the "secret", Shippo proposed to explain the situation to kaede without mentioning names, he said he would just talk about people he knew. So Inuyasha seemed to be okay...
So they came to Kaede's house and Shippo begun to talk. He said It was about a dog he knew ^^, so Kaede looked Inuyasha but he answered it was not this dog ^^. So Shippo explained all the story with the dog the cat and the wolf and he illustrated it with veryyyyy beautifull draws ^^, and Kaede, after she knew all the story, told to Shippo that the dog has to apologize to the cat, and when he heard that Inuyasha get angry and asked why, but Kaede asked him why did he cared : it was about the dog that Shippo knew ^^, so Inuyasha calmed down and after he heard all Kaede's advices, he got out without saying a word... Kaede and Shipoo laughed once he was out^^.
In the other world Kagome was in her room and was studying and Sota was on the bed, they talked a little about Inuyasha so Kagome got angry and Sota told her that Inuyasha would not come back because she was always mad... then he left. Kagome said to herself that she was not enought concentrate, so she put her alarm clock at 5:00 am in order to finish her homeworks in the morning. Then she went to bed and slept a little.
During her sleep Inuyasha came from the window and looked at her, and in her sleep she said "Inuyasha" so inuyasha wondered what was she dreaming but then, and always in her sleep Kagome said "osuwari!" ^^ ... Then the alarm Clock rang, Inuyasha didn't want to be catch up looking Kagome sleeping so he tried to turn it off but it was still ringing so he left the room with the clock. Kagome woke up and she saw the open window and the footprint on the soil, so she knew that Inuyasha came. Then the tomorrow, at school, she told to Hojou-kun that she could not come with him to see the movie and that if he wanted to, he could go to see it with the girl who was always following him. But Hojou-kun said that he didn't want to date someone else, but that he was happy because Kagome was a little jealous !
Then in the other world, Inuyasha was alone and he sighed when Kagome arrived with her bag : he was a little bit surprised. She told that "she was just back" and sit next to him... Inuyasha said that he was sorry !!!!! So Kagome was very surprised and told him that she didn't believe that he could apologize... And Inuyasha gave her the alarm clock he took off the night before. So Kagome asked if he did apologize for the clock and Inuyasha answered "for what else?" ^^ ! It caused Kagome's angry but Sango Shippo and Miroku came out from the woods and tried to calm her down saying stuff like "he came twice" or "he was always sighing" so Inuyasha got very angry ^^ and asked them how they knew all that... but they didn't answer and told to Inuyasha to apologize... so Inuyasha got very very angry^^ and tried to catch them up and fought with them... but not for real of course ^^. The end !

Episode 39

Trapped In A Duel To The Death

Inuyasha and the group head into the woods in search of a jwel shard. They find it in the possesion of a bear demon. The bear runs deeper into the woods and when Inuyasha finally catches up to it, he finds the bear surrounded by Naraku's posionous insects, who then steal the bear jewel shard and kill it. The group follows the insects to Naraku's castle and wehn they enter, they find the bodies of many wolf demons, who then like zombies though they were actually jsut being contolled by Kagura they get up and start attacking Inuyasha who doesnt fights back but doesnt hurt them. Scene change to Kouga who is sitting there in his cave thinking abouth is precious jewel shards that were stolen from him and Kagome. He soon recieves news that his brothers (just relatives) from the north or east or some place have been slaughtered. He rushes to Naraku's castle and as he enter the bodies spill tons of blood on Inuyasha and then drop leaving him i nthe middle of them, making it look like he killed them. Kouga comes to see Inuyasha standing in the middles of all the dead bodies with tons of their blood on him and in a fury attacks him. Kagome tries to stop him but to no avail. Kagome then realises that Kouga has a new jewel shard. The shard was given to him by someone else but it was tainted and they later find out it was made from Naraku's miasma.

Episode 40

Deadly Trap of The Wind Sorceress, Kagura

While Inuyasha and Kouga fight, Sango and Miroku head into Naraku's castle only to find his poisonous insects and a demon puppet. Outside Kouga is about to kill Inuyasha when they come face to face with the wind sorceress Kagura. She injures Kouga and Kagome helps him while Inuyasha and Kagura fight. Inuyasha tries to use the wind scar and it injures Kagura and she and naraku's castle dissapear. Soon after some people from Kouga's tribe come and take him back home.

Episode 41

Kagura's Dance and Kanna's mirror

The episode starts in Naraku's castle. Kagura is there in the shadows, very angered to find out that Naraku was using her as a pawn but could not seek revenge because he holds her soul in his possesion. Scene change to the group who while walking, encounter a runaway girl named Koharu. Koharu seemed to know Miroku (who seemd to have no idea who she was XD) She later tells the group that when she was eleven miroku came to the village where she used to work and helped her. She then said her asked her to bear his child. Koharu now wanted to bear miroku's child she said she was running away to go look for him and live with him. The group persuaded her to stay with the family she lived with now (she was an orphan) and they would decide on the matter of her leaving hom the next day. In The night, Naraku sends Kanna, Kagura's older sister (even though she doesnt look like it) to capture Koharu's soul.

Episode 42

The Wind Scar Defeated

Koharu, who is now under Kanna's control, holds Kagome down and while Kanna tries to capture Kagome's soul in her mirror . Kanna is surprised when it does not work as Kagomes soul is too big and it was not finished being stolen from her when Kanna's mirror becomes full. Miroku hurries in to Kagomes rescue, but is attacked by the possessed Koharu. Outside Inuyasha found himself in a problem, Kagura created the wind outside and he could not use her own wind against her, and so she deafeated the wind scar. After leaving Inuyasha in shock and disbelief and wonder at his wind scar and how it did not work Kanna starts striking Inuyasha with her wind attacks, Soon after Naraku arrives on the scene.

Episode 43

Kanna's mirror is almost distroyed in the battle and all the trapped souls are released. Kanna, Kagura and Naraku then made their escpae. Inuyasha, injured badly, heads into the forest to find Kikyo.  Who then tells him she and him have to work together and she holds no grudge against him and she loves him. Kikyo then leaves and Inuyasha makes his way back to the group. Later, the group encounters ademon named Goshinki, who's razor sharp teeth destroy tetsuiga. Something weird then happens to Inuyasha, where he transforms almost as if he becomes full demon and he slew Goshinki.

Episode 44

Kaijinbo's Evil Sword

Inuyasha ventures to have tetsuiga fixed by Totosai. Who uses one of Inuyasha's teeth to help repair the sword making it extremely heavy. Meanwhile, Sesshoumaru discovers Goshinki's remains and could tell what happened there from smelling and took Goshinki's head and had totosai's old apprentice a man named kaijinbo, make a sword more powerful than the tetsuiga from the teeth of Goshinki. (totosaia abandoned kaijinbo because he had a habit of making evil swords for evil people, which totosai did not like) When Kaijinbo finishes creating the new sword for sesshoumaru, Tokijin, Goshinki's spirit which was in his teeth and in the sword forged from his teeth takes over Kaijinbo and seeks out Inuyasha. Inuyasha, weilding a repaired tetsuiga, faces off against Kaijinbo in a battle.

Episode 45

Sesshoumaru weilds Tokijin

 Kaijinbo, unable to control Tokijin's power, falls victim to the sword. Sesshoumaru arrives on the scen to claim ownership over Tokijin, and when he picks up the sword the evil is dispelled. Sesshoumaru attacks Inuyasha, knocking Tetsuaiga from his grasp. Separated from the sword Inuyasha's demonic side begins to take over. Inuyasha becomes so fierce at that time that (Webmistress' note: my god i cant believe this) Sesshoumaru was scared of him, if even for a little moment. Sesshoumaru then after getting out of shock attacks Inuyasha. They fight and Inuyasha almost defeats Sesshoumaru who then leaves. Inuyasha then untransforms.

Episode 46

Jeromaru and Kagomeru

Inuyasha and company search for Naraku's castle and find A demon named Jaromeru who has the mask thing over his mouth almost like Sango's. He takes it off to reveal that living inside him, in his stomach none the less, is a spider, cockroach thingy with his head named Kagomeru. The group later realises that this is another one of Narakuis reicarnations (Naraku's reicarnations are made from bits of his flesh, eg of his reincarantions are Kagura, Kanna, Goshinki and Jaromeru and Kagomeru. (webmistress' note: the nasty cockroach looking thingy!)) Scene changes to Kouga's den when Kouga hears Inuyasha is in danger at Naraku's castle he smirks, the a while later someone asks him if that didnt mean Kagome was in trouble too, then he realised he had to go help her and comes to their aid. Again Kagome lets Kouga escape when Inuyasha wants to kill him for the things he has done before even  thoughjust recently in battle with Jarormeru and Kagomeru whom they defeated, Kouga saved Inuyasha. Oh yeah Inuyasha saved him too so debt paid. Kagome lets Kouga escpae and Inuyasha and and her have another arguement and Kagome goes  back to her own time.

Season 3

Episode 47

Onigumo's Heart, still beats within Naraku

Kouga escapes after their battle, sparking a nother arguement between Kagome and Inuyasha. Kagome returns to her own time afterwards. Meanwhile, Naraku sends  a soul collector to battle with Kikyo. Inuyasha saves Kikyo and proffesses his love for her . When Kagome returns from the present she stumbles upon the scene and watches with teary eyes behind a tree then flees to her own time again.

Episode 48

Return To The Place Where We First Met

When Kagome witness' Inuyasha embracing Kikyo she flees to her own time. Even though she decided it is better never to go back to feudal japan, she relises she has shards of the shikon no tama and must return them.  While she struggles with a decidion, Kagome comes to terms with her feelings for Inuyasha slightly. Then goes and sits on a bench under the Goshinboku tree, where her mother comes and has a heartfelt talk with her and Kagome realises she loves Inuyasha, and loves him so much that she didn't care if he didnt love her too but she needed to be with him. Kagome afterwards returns to the feudal era and sits at the well. She is found by Inuyasha who didnt know she left but was coming to get her and knew he made his decision but he too didnt want Kagome to leave him even though he chose Kikyo. She and Inuyasha talked about it and Inuyasha was in shock that she decided to stay with him.

Episode 49

Kohaku's Lost Memories

Kohaku, Sango's younger brother, has lost his memories and is being taken care of by an elderly couple in a peaceful village. When a hoard of demons attacks the village, Kohaku flees to protect his saviours. Kagome, who has returned to the feudal era, senses Kohaku's jewel shard and arrives just in time to save him, but then Kagura attacks.

Episode 50

The Face That Can't Be Forgotten

Inuyasha and Miroku try and buy time for Kagome to Escape with Kohaku but Kohaku who is still under Naraku's control turns around and Injures kagome.  When he is about to deliver the finishing blow (kill kagome) Sango appears and tries to kil him. Kohaku runs away with Sango in pursuitewhile Inuyasha and Miroku face off against Kagura

Episode 51

Devoured Soul

Miroku having sucked in many of Naraku's poisonous insects during their last battle, lies injured  and slowly recovering. Meanwhile somewhere  else Sesshoumaru is off learning more about the origins of the tetsusaiga from and ancient tree of knowledge. After Miroku recovers and Inuyasha and all of them get Kagome and etc the group continues on their journey only to find a village being attacked by theives. The leader of the theives turns out to be a giant moth who sucks the youth and life out of girls.

Episode 52

Trapped inside a toxic cocoon, Miroku succumbs to the poison . Inuyasha, separated from tetsusaiga transforms into a full demon again and breaks free of the cocoon. Inuyasha without his human side to stop him kills all the theives without rmorse. Their leader Gatenmaru,  then transforms into a giant moth and attacks .

Episode 53

Father's Old Enemy, Ryukotsusei

After goarguing about the weight of the tetsusaiga, Inuyasha goes to totosai seeking advice on how to make it light again. Totosai tells Inuyasha that he must slay his father's old enemy. Inuyasha goes to do as he was told but Naraku is watching  and goes to wake the sleeping Ryukotsusei before Inuyasha gets there.
